Utpal Raman Sharma is an operator turned investor who has built and scaled businesses across India’s startup ecosystem for over a decade. At Titan Capital, he leads investments in consumer brands, consumer tech, marketplaces, and B2B services, developing conviction from first principles and partnering closely with founders on strategy, go-to-market, and product-market fit.

An engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur, Utpal began his career with consulting before moving to the front lines of company building. He helped found one of India’s early cloud kitchens, led the Car Insurance P&L at Policy Bazaar, founded and scaled a cross-border commerce startup to multi-million-dollar revenue, and later led product at mosaic wellness.

Utpal’s edge is a builder’s lens applied to venture, clarity on value proposition, sharp customer insight, and instinct for profitability that compounds at scale. He is known for crisp diligence, direct feedback, and hands-on support that turns strategy into execution.

Outside work, Utpal passionately follows public markets, plays poker, travels, and occasionally unwinds with a good Netflix show.
